A personal, independent and coordinated approach to managing your wealth — with an experienced adviser who knows you, your finances and what you want your money to achieve.
Wealth management is about bringing all the different parts of your financial life together into one clear, coordinated strategy. Rather than looking at investments, pensions, tax planning, retirement income and estate planning in isolation, wealth management considers how each decision affects the others. The aim is to help you organise your finances efficiently, invest appropriately and make confident long-term decisions about your wealth.
It can be particularly valuable if you have built up significant assets, have several pensions or investment accounts, are approaching retirement, have received an inheritance, sold a business or simply feel that your financial affairs have become too complex to manage effectively on your own. Good wealth management can also save you time and provide reassurance, giving you an adviser who understands your circumstances, keeps your plans under review and helps you adapt as markets, tax rules and your own priorities change.
You'll have a named adviser who understands your circumstances in detail — someone you can call or email directly rather than going through a service desk, call-centre queue or rotating relationship manager.
Good wealth management often involves decisions that can't wait for the next scheduled annual review. You might be considering retirement, selling a business or property, receiving an inheritance, helping your children financially or simply wondering whether you can afford to spend more. When those questions arise, you already have someone who understands the bigger picture.
We meet with you regularly, often more than once a year where useful, and provide updates in between. Whenever you want an update or have a question, you're never far from an answer.
Wealth management should involve considerably more than selecting investments. We consider your pensions, investments, tax position, retirement plans, cash requirements, estate planning and wider financial circumstances together.
That allows individual decisions to form part of one coordinated strategy rather than becoming a collection of disconnected financial products and accounts. Where appropriate, we can also work alongside your accountant or solicitor so that your financial planning, tax affairs, wills, trusts and business interests remain joined up.
As Independent Financial Advisers, our recommendations are based on what we believe is suitable for you. We are not here simply to place your money into a standard house investment solution. We consider your circumstances, existing arrangements, objectives, attitude to risk, tax position and preferences before recommending how your wealth should be structured.
Independence gives us the freedom to consider a wide range of investments, providers and financial solutions as your requirements develop.
Wealth rarely stands still, and neither should the strategy behind it. Retirement, inheritances, property transactions, changes to your family, new tax rules and financial markets can all alter what makes sense.
Your financial plan is therefore kept under review and adapted as your circumstances and objectives change. This isn't a service where your portfolio is reviewed once a year and then forgotten about for another twelve months.
A bespoke investment portfolio built around you, your objectives and your unique financial circumstances — not an off-the-shelf solution. Your portfolio is designed to reflect what your money needs to achieve, how much risk is appropriate, when you may need access to capital and how your investments fit alongside your pensions, tax position and wider financial plan.
That may mean different parts of your wealth are invested in different ways, depending on whether the aim is income, long-term growth, future spending or passing wealth to the next generation. The portfolio is kept under ongoing review rather than simply being set up and left alone.
Just as importantly, the strategy is explained in plain English. You should understand what you own, why you own it and how it fits into your wider financial plan.
Financial planning is not an optional extra to our Wealth Management Service. It is built into it. Your investments, pensions, tax position, retirement plans, future spending and estate planning are all connected — looking at them separately can mean missed opportunities or decisions being made without understanding the wider impact.
That is why your financial plan and investment strategy are designed to work together as one joined-up service, with no separate financial planning charge. Ongoing cashflow modelling can help you understand how your wealth may develop over your lifetime and what different decisions could mean in practice.
This can include:
"Can I afford to retire earlier? How much can I comfortably spend? Should I draw from my pension, ISA or investments first? Can I afford to help my family now? What might my finances look like in 10, 20 or 30 years? How much am I likely to leave behind?"
These questions are often far more important than whether one investment fund happens to outperform another over a particular period. The aim is to give you a clearer understanding of your wealth, greater confidence in the decisions you make and a financial plan that helps you use your money effectively throughout your lifetime.
As your wealth grows, financial decisions often become more interconnected. Our wealth management service brings these different areas together rather than looking at individual investments or products in isolation. You'll have an ongoing relationship with an adviser who understands your circumstances, your portfolio and your longer-term objectives — with regular reviews, updates when circumstances change and someone available when an important decision arises.
One of the real benefits of good financial planning is understanding what your wealth allows you to do — and giving you greater confidence to enjoy it. Cashflow modelling can help us explore possibilities such as retiring earlier, spending more, helping family, buying a second home or travelling more. It's having the confidence to use more of the wealth you've already built.
For many clients, wealth management eventually becomes about more than their own financial security. You may want to help children or grandchildren, contribute towards a property purchase, or think carefully about how your estate will eventually pass to the next generation. Where specialist legal or tax advice is required, we can work alongside your solicitor or accountant.
We use this session to discuss any queries you may have, determine if you need any financial advice and if so what type would best suit you. It also allows us time to get to know each other and explain how the advice process works and what you will receive for each service.
The session usually lasts between 30 minutes and an hour.
You will walk away from your consultation with an understanding of what advice you may need, how it will benefit you and how much it will cost.
We start with a free, no-obligation consultation. This is an opportunity to talk about your circumstances, what you want your wealth to achieve and the financial questions or concerns you would like us to address. We'll also establish whether our Wealth Management Service is likely to be the right fit for you.
Before recommending anything, we take the time to understand what you already have — your investments, pensions, tax position, income, expenditure, existing arrangements and wider financial circumstances. Just as importantly, we discuss what you want your money to achieve.
We bring the different parts of your finances together into one coordinated strategy, using financial planning and, where appropriate, cashflow modelling to explore your options. We'll then talk you through our advice in plain English — what we're recommending, why, and what it will cost.
Once you're happy with our recommendations, we help implement the agreed strategy and coordinate the different elements of your financial arrangements.
This is where the long-term relationship begins. We manage and review your portfolio, update your financial planning, meet with you regularly and remain available when you have questions or important financial decisions to make. As your circumstances, objectives, legislation and financial markets change, your strategy can change with them.
Our Wealth Management Service is generally designed for clients with at least £1 million of investments and pensions under advice.
You don't need to have everything worked out before speaking to us. Often, identifying the questions that need answering is the first part of good financial planning.

We believe good wealth management should combine a high-quality personal service with clear and reasonable pricing. Our ongoing fee covers the wider wealth management relationship — not simply investment management.
| Service / Level | Fee |
|---|---|
| Establishing the Wealth Management Relationship & Initial Analysis | £0 to £3,500, depending on the complexity of your existing arrangements |
| Ongoing Wealth Management | 0.5% p.a. of assets under advice |
The ongoing service includes portfolio management, financial planning, cashflow forecasting, regular reviews, ongoing tax and retirement planning and direct access to your adviser. Our fees are agreed with you in full before any chargeable work begins, so you know what you're paying and what you're receiving in return.
The fee covers your ongoing wealth management relationship rather than investment management alone. This includes ongoing portfolio management and reviews, financial planning and cashflow forecasting, retirement and tax planning, estate-planning input where appropriate, regular meetings and ongoing access to your adviser.
We meet in person at least once a year and often more frequently where it is useful. You'll also receive updates in between and can contact your adviser when questions or financial decisions arise. You don't have to wait until your annual review to speak to us.
Yes. You'll have a named adviser who gets to know you and your financial circumstances and manages the relationship from the outset, rather than being passed between departments or different relationship managers.
£1 million in investments and pensions under advice is our general guide rather than an absolute cut-off. If you're close to this level, or your circumstances are sufficiently complex that you believe a coordinated wealth-management approach could add significant value, please get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss it.
Not necessarily. Understanding what you already have comes before recommending changes. Existing investments and pensions should be assessed on their merits and in the context of your wider financial plan. Our role is to recommend what we believe is appropriate for you rather than assume everything needs replacing.
Yes. Where appropriate, we're happy to work alongside your existing professional advisers. Wealth management often works best when financial, tax and legal planning complement one another rather than being considered separately.
No. Investment management is an important part of the service, but it sits within a much broader financial plan. Our role is to help you decide how your wealth should be invested, structured, used and ultimately passed on — and to keep that strategy under review as your life changes.
"When can I retire? How much can I spend? Can I help my family? Am I making the most of what I have? And is everything working together as efficiently as it could?"
That's what our Wealth Management Service is designed to help you answer. You'll have a personal adviser who understands your circumstances, a financial plan looking years ahead and an investment strategy designed around what you actually want your wealth to achieve. Your initial consultation is free, with no obligation to proceed.
